Cased Atlantic Salmon fine art print
This fine cased salmon is a 15lbs 8oz fish that was taken from the River Blackwater, Ireland by D McKinley on 12th June 1999. Interestingly, old cased salmon are not common and good specimens even less so. (Courtesy of David McKinley of Heads ‘N’ Tails).
The record has stood since 1922 when, on October 7th, Miss Georgina Ballantine landed her famous 64lb fish on the river Tay near Caputh. A plaster cast was taken by Perth taxidermists P D Malloch.
